VELLA - wooden and aluminum facade and winter garden system

Answering the market's demand ALURON has developed and introduced a facade and winter garden system. The system was presented for the first time during BUDMA 2007 construction fair. The system's unique design allows to combine the well-known wooden and aluminum GEMINI windows with the facade.

Structure

The load carrying structure of the wooden and aluminum facade consists of 50 mm thick wooden posts, whose length has been estimated on the basis of static load calculations. Winter gardens form another part of the post and spandrel VELLA system. The load carrying structure consists of 50 or 60 mm wide wooden rafters and spandrels, whose depth is estimated on the basis of static load calculations. A system of externally fitted aluminum fronts facilitates secure installation of glass panes while protecting the wood at the same time. The lean wooden structure is entirely made of top quality, preserved and varnished wood. The entire system, consisting of wood protected externally with aluminum fronts and glass sets, makes a perfect solution guaranteeing long years of reliable operation without the need of frequent maintenance activities.

Durability

The production process for all elements of the system uses cutting edge technologies and top quality, attested materials. The varnish layer of the external aluminum profiles is covered with a lengthy warranty for adhesion and color stability. The unique and leak-proof method of joining wood and aluminum in the facade structure translates to an uncommonly efficient protection of wood against external conditions. The use of the wooden and aluminum ALURON facade system means heat insulation is much better than with traditional aluminum facades and lets you enjoy natural wood in the interior.

Colors and surface finish

By powder painting the surface of the aluminum profiles of the facade system we can offer you the complete RAL and NCS color ranges, various levels of gloss, textures and paint layer structures. We can also apply various types of wood imitation veneer to aluminum elements. Thanks to the numerous kinds of finish you now have virtually limitless design possibilities and can harmoniously blend the structure in the surroundings.

Technical inspection

The facade system ALURON has undergone laboratory testing in the Building Research Institute in Warsaw. The structure has an average heat transfer coefficient K of 1.2 W/m2. The system elements have undergone thorough testing by the Institute against PN EN 13830 - Curtain Walls and have achieved highest score.
